Ann Scott, first lady of Florida, is a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She is a firm believer in family, strong values, community involvement, and the power of a good education. That is what she and her husband, Governor Rick Scott, taught their two daughters and that is what they believe is important for the future of Florida.

The Scotts support the Salvation Army, The United Way, the Naples Zoo, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, and Liberty Youth Ranch, a home for abandoned, abused, neglected, and orphaned children. The Scott family also worked with World Vision to create a primary health care system in Bunyala, a poor area of Kenya.

The Scotts were high school sweethearts and have been married for 38 years. They have two married daughters, Allison (28) and Jordan (25). Mrs. Scott enjoys interior design and has a degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
