The NGA Center hosted policy academy meeting on strengthening postsecondary accountability systems in Denver, Colorado on April 12-13. The workshop, open to the six states participating in the policy academy, focused on implementing and using efficiency and effectiveness metrics to guide major policy decisions, including funding and regulation. Specific topics include: evaluating states’ progress in identifying and incorporating efficiency and effectiveness metrics, selecting performance metrics for use in performance-based funding formulas and regulatory agreements, and connecting key education and workforce measures. State teams also had time for facilitated, state-specific discussions.
