The Experts Roundtable kicked off NGA’s Policy Academy to Industrial Energy Efficiency and Combined Heat and Power (CHP). The Policy Academy will assist teams from four states (TBD) in developing and beginning to implement strategic actions to advance the uptake of energy efficiency in one or more of their manufacturing sectors.

The goal of the Roundtable was to explore and prioritize a set of policies actions, identify key barriers to adoption, and examine examples of where they have worked well. We also sought input on key players and resources, prime areas for gubernatorial engagement, and strategies for achieving near term progress. The Roundtable discussion informed an RFP that will be used to solicit state applications and help NGA shape the technical assistance provided through the Policy Academy.
