The National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) hosted a meeting, Health Care: Decision Points for States, on July 19-20th in Washington, D.C. The day and a half meeting brought together governors’ health policy advisors, state Medicaid directors, health insurance Exchange leads and other state officials from 39 states and territories. The meeting examined state options for health care and health system reform going forward including discussion of both the state’s Medicaid program as well as its commercial insurance market.
