This year's Workforce Development Policy Forum featured a dynamic, interactive format for addressing the theme, "Competing in an Innovation Economy." A combination of traditional panels and interactive breakout sessions, discussions examined the realities of economic, global, demographic and structural trends and the effect on the nation’s workforce and employers.

Overview

The NGA Center holds an annual Workforce Development Policy Forum for state policy makers to discuss current and future trends in workforce development and the related fields of education, economic development and human services; explore innovative state policies and practices; and discuss and debate state and national policy issues of importance to governors and states.
