Overview
Since 1994, the National Governors' Association Center for Best Practices has worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to better coordinate and promote state oil spill prevention programs. The center has held workshops, issued reports summarizing successful state oil programs, and established three ongoing workgroups to discuss State Oil Program Outreach with Industry, State Oil Program Data Collection, and Elements of State and EPA Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs). This website provides a central location for state officials, regulated businesses, and interested members of the public to obtain information about state actions in these important areas. |
