SEATTLE, Jul. 18—Eric Dishman, principal investigator and manager of Intel Proactive Health Research, demonstrates the prototype of a cane that can detect when its older user gets unsteady and transmit that data to a caregiver. This demonstration was part of his presentation on how technology can transform homes into health care delivery systems and how current technology can enable aging baby-boomers to meet their own health care needs.
