NGA Center for Best Practice’s Prisoner Reentry Policy Academy, made possible with funding from the JEHT Foundation, enables NGA Center to work with teams from five states with the goal of developing executive leadership and state policies around prisoner reentry. The most recent policy academy meeting was held August 6-7, 2007, in Washington, D.C.
During this academy meeting, states learned about current research and practice related to prisoner reentry and also received feedback on their state action plans from peers from other states, researcher, representatives from key federal agencies, and other experts. Participants were given time to interact with their peers and to work with their teams.
