Kate Schoemer serves as a program assistant for NGA Solutions: The Center for Best Practices Homeland Security and Public Safety division. Prior to joining NGA, Kate was an associate at Hathaway Strategies, a public affairs consulting firm based in Indianapolis.
Kate graduated from Purdue University in 2017 where she received her bachelor’s degree in political science. As an undergraduate, Kate served as an intern in the communications and policy departments for the Indiana House Republicans and as a campaign intern and campus coordinator for Todd Young’s 2016 congressional campaign. She also served the Potomac Institute’s International Center for Terrorism Studies and University of Sydney’s Alliance 21 as a research intern.
In November 2018, Kate graduated from Officer Candidates School for the Marine Corps. She will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in 2020. Kate originally hails from Indiana.
