Timothy Schoonhoven

Policy Analyst

Timothy Schoonhoven is an Energy, Infrastructure and Environment policy analyst with NGA’s Center for Best Practices. At NGA, Timothy supports Governors’ efforts to develop and implement strategies to achieve their long-term energy and environmental goals. He is focused on energy and water policy issues and the nuclear waste cleanup efforts supported by the Federal Facilities Task Force.

Prior to NGA, Timothy worked on agriculture, conservation and environmental sustainability issues for four years as a policy analyst at Strategic Conservation Solutions. Timothy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political studies and a minor in history from The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California, and also held internships at the American Foreign Service Association and U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Timothy is originally from Merced, California.
