Environment, Energy & Transportation Division
Aliza Wasserman serves as program director for the National Governors Association (NGA) Center for Best Practices Environment, Energy & Transportation Division. Wasserman analyzes various issues in the areas of electric and environmental policy, including utility business models, analyzing state pathways for federal greenhouse gas rules, energy efficiency, shale development and hydraulic fracturing, economic development and renewable energy and water.
Prior to joining NGA, Wasserman served as director of Farm to Institution at the Community Alliance with Family Farmers and as research associate for Business for Social Responsibility.
Wasserman holds a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton University and a bachelor’s of arts from Rutgers University.
Aliza originally hails from New Jersey.
