The state of Maryland, in partnership with the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center), hosted a one-day retreat on approaches to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy expenditures in state buildings, specifically focusing on expanding EPCs. The objectives of the retreat were to:

  • Examine the state’s current state agency energy efficiency policies and programs;
  • Identify relevant program models to enhance those offerings; and
  • Discuss strategies to incentivize state agencies participation in energy efficiency programs.
