Economic Opportunity Division
Curtis R. Smith serves as a Policy Analyst for the Economic Opportunity division of the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices. His areas of focus include child welfare, mental health, juvenile justice, and poverty-related issues. He has previously worked as a research intern at Federal Funds Information for States and a family and behavior development specialist in Virginia Maryland, and California. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Economics from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Public Policy degree from the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at The George Washington University.
