Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick recently highlighted the state's efforts to create a stronger relationship between businesses and academic institutions at an event attended by over 100 business and academic leaders. The event was co-hosted with the Federal Reserve Bank and the Great Boston Chamber of Commerce. Governor Patrick highlighted the importance of internships in preparing students for careers and for helping employers identify and retain talented workers in the state. The state has launched a free website that any Massachusetts employer can use to post internships and which aggregates postings from partner sites such as Chamber Intern Connect.
