Bryon Noem

About


Bryon Noem, First Gentleman of South Dakota, grew up in Hamlin County and graduated from Northern State University with a degree in business finance. After college, Bryon coached basketball and worked on the family farm, eventually obtaining a position at the Bryant State Bank as an insurance agent. He later purchased the insurance portion of the bank and turned it into Noem Insurance.

Bryon and Governor Noem were married in 1992 in Watertown, South Dakota. They have three children: Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker. Having worked in small businesses his entire career, Bryon now operates a crop insurance agency near their home in Castlewood.

Since becoming South Dakota’s first First Gentleman in January of 2019, Bryon has continued running his business and launched ‘This is South Dakota’ initiative which focuses on small town South Dakota this all while working with Governor Noem to create a stronger South Dakota for the next generation.
