Emma Cimino is a senior policy analyst for NGA Solutions: Center for Best Practices’ Energy, Infrastructure and Environment (EIE) division. At NGA, Emma supports governor’s staff and state policymakers in developing solutions to energy issues. Her areas of focus include grid modernization, energy efficiency and fuel diversity.
Prior to joining NGA, Emma served as director of government affairs and special advisor on energy policy in the office of Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy. In that role, she was responsible for researching, evaluating and developing the legislative agenda of the executive branch, and working with the state legislature to develop and implement policy. Previously, Emma was a Peace Corps volunteer in Northern Samar, the Philippines, where she taught English.
Originally from Connecticut, Emma holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
