Media Information

The NGA Summer Meeting is one of two primary gatherings of the nation’s governors that serve as the business meetings of the association. The program typically includes a variety of sessions open to the media. Governors-only sessions are closed to the media and other meeting attendees.

Media & The Summer Meeting

Hi, and thank you for your interest in covering the National Governors Association (NGA) 2019 Summer Meeting, July 24-26, at the Grand America hotel, 555 S Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84111.  Dress for the  Summer Meeting is business casual.

NGA Communications is at reporters’ and editors’ service before and during the meeting. A media headquarters will be onsite to give reporters an area to work and file their stories. Wifi is provided. In addition, NGA Communications staff will be onsite and available to answer questions and facilitate interviews with governors.

Registration and Credentials

Media covering any portion of the NGA Summer Meeting should plan to obtain an official NGA 2019 meeting credential. More details to follow.

Media Headquarters

Media Headquarters will be located at the Grand America in a room to be determined closer to the meeting date. Headquarters will be equipped with limited phones and Internet connections. Hours of operation during the meeting are:
