Courtney Brinley
Legislative Associate
Courtney Brinley serves as Legislative Associate for the National Governors Association. In this role, she plays a pivotal part in the planning, coordination, and daily operations of NGA’s Office of Government Relations. Her responsibilities extend to the crucial task of managing relationships with agency intergovernmental affairs staff, a role that directly contributes to the effectiveness of NGA’s lobbying activities.
Brinley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wheeling Jesuit University and a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University.
Before joining NGA, Brinley had the privilege of working for both of her West Virginia Senators on Capitol Hill. Her dedication to public service led her to the Partnership for Public Service, where she lent her support to programs aimed at helping federal workforce members become effective leaders.
Beyond her professional achievements, Brinley is proud to hail from the picturesque state of West Virginia. She brings a down-to-earth approach to her work and is always eager to promote the values and perspectives that are unique to her home state.
