The National Governors Association will host the 2025 Summer Meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 25-26.
The Summer Meeting is a valuable opportunity for Governors to share solutions and coordinate on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing states and territories.

Public Sessions Include:
- To mark the conclusion of his yearlong Let’s Get Ready! Chair’s Initiative, NGA Chair Colorado Governor Jared Polis will lead a panel discussion with education experts and unveil a roadmap of his initiative’s findings. The session will also feature a fireside chat with Mark Cuban, American businessman and co-founder of 2929 Entertainment.
- NGA’s Governor-led Task Forces will lead discussions on a broad range of issues facing their States.
- Attendees will hear from Dr. Jason Furman, Aetna Professor of the Practice of Economic Policy jointly at Harvard Kennedy School and the Department of Economics at Harvard University, and Dr. Arthur B. Laffer, Founder and Chairman of Laffer Associates, about the domestic and global economic outlook.
- NGA will announce the election of the organization’s new Chair and Vice Chair. Incoming Chair Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt will then unveil his NGA Chair’s Initiative.
