Ralph Deleon Guerrero Torres was sworn in as governor on Dec. 29, 2015, following the death of his predecessor.
Before becoming governor, Torres served as lieutenant governor. He previously served as Senate president for the Northern Mariana Islands legislature. Prior to public service, he was a lawyer at Torres Brothers, LLC, which served clients from 2004–2008.
Torres earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boise State University in 2001.
