Isabella Cuneo

Policy Analyst

Isabella Cuneo serves as a Policy Analyst for the National Governors Association’s Center for Best Practices Children and Families team where she focuses on safety net programs, child welfare, and early childhood care issues. Isabella supports governors’ staff and state policymakers in advancing and improving public policy that promotes opportunities for children and families to thrive.

Isabella previously worked for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), as a Special Assistant to Assistant Secretary Lynn Johnson. During her time at ACF, Isabella supported the “ALL-IN” Foster Adoption Challenge, supporting nonprofits, faith-based agencies, and governors’ offices in increasing adoption permanency rates. She also worked on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families promoting policies to grow individual capacity and support well-being by reimagining the safety net.

Isabella holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of Georgia and is originally from the Peach State.
