The National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) hosted the second in a series of three webinars designed to provide governors’ advisors with information and best practices surrounding the development of Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) programs.
This webinar focused on the specifics states should consider when designing a C-PACE program. It covered the pros and cons of statewide vs municipally-based programs, possible structures for C-PACE programs, and best practices for marketing and outreach to prospective users. By the end of this webinar, governors’ advisors gained a strong understanding of what styles of C-PACE program are best for different state energy contexts.
As part of NGA Center’s clean energy finance efforts, this webinar series builds upon an earlier Experts Roundtable that brought thought leaders in the C-PACE arena together to discuss the latest developments in C-PACE programs and administration. The presentations for that roundtable can be found here. A third webinar will focus on the building blocks of a successful C-PACE program and different methods to finance such programs.
