American Rescue Plan State Funding Profiles

State-specific funding profiles that illustrate federal to state resource allocation to support children and students under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

After the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was passed, NGA partnered with WestEd to produce funding profiles for the commonwealths, states, and territories. Each state profile includes a full-page graphic that maps out the many programs funded in the ARP Act that can support children and students and the various state agencies that will be handling those federal funds. The subsequent pages include ideas about how to blend and braid those funds to best coordinate support for children, youth, and families, followed by detailed descriptions of any restrictions tied to those funds in the federal legislation.

These profiles provide information to help Governors and other state leaders to bring together staff across state agencies, create meaningful collaboration among different sectors, set out common goals, and achieve shared accountability to ensure results for children and students.
