2019 Novel Coronavirus: Public Health Legal Preparedness

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Governors Association, and the American Bar Association hosted the first webinar of the 2019-nCoV legal preparedness webinar series to provide an overview of the global and US situation as well as public health planning considerations for state, tribal, local, and territorial health departments. Legal experts discussed best practices for legal preparedness and described vital legal concepts such as disease surveillance and reporting requirements, nonpharmaceutical interventions, and social distancing measures.
