On March 22, 2023, NGA hosted the first webinar, in a series of four, highlighting innovative and replicable projects funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Travel Tourism and Outdoor Recreation. Participants learned about how the City of Pawtucket, Rhode Island worked with several federal agencies on their project expanding a bike path to connect existing recreational resources and how they increased outreach to distressed communities. They also heard about Montana’s strategic approach to developing a statewide tourism and outdoor recreation resiliency plan, which begins with a planning and stakeholder engagement process and then proceeds to implementation.
