NGA Holds Hill Briefing on WIA
NGA and state and local experts from IL, MA, PA, UT, VA held a hearing to discuss real world solutions to create jobs funded through the WIA. The nation's governors strongly urged Congress and the Administration to restore the full 15 percent set-aside for statewide activities under WIA in a recently released report, maintaining the funding is essential to ensure the continuation of vital initiatives to address skills-gaps, spur economic growth and help get Americans back to work.
