Casey Dolen

Senior Policy Analyst, Cybersecurity

Casey Dolen is a Senior Policy Analyst within the National Governors Association’s cybersecurity division. Prior to joining NGA, she worked at Cambridge Global Advisors, a boutique consulting firm specializing in homeland security and cybersecurity, where she regularly worked with both domestic and international government organizations to conduct cybersecurity reviews, create cyber training curricula, develop strategic communications plans, and build operational frameworks.

Casey was also previously selected as a Presidential Fellow for the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. In that role, she proposed policy recommendations for use by Department executives, assisted in preparing the implementation of an Emergency Operations Plan for the county, and collaborated with the county’s Bureau of Technology on various cyber security initiatives including hosting county-wide cyber intelligence briefings.

Casey recently earned an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. There, she was involved in projects conducting original quantitative research and providing policy recommendations to the U.S. federal government regarding public perceptions of security and the feasibility of insurgent reintegration programs in Afghanistan. She also designed an economic roadmap and data toolkit for a non-profit tasked with promoting development in the South Side Chicago community. Upon graduating, she earned certifications in Global Conflict Studies, International Development, and Political Campaigns, and was presented a leadership award. Casey also holds a B.A. in Foreign Language and International Economics from the University of Kentucky.
