NGA Chair Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and Vice Chair Maryland Governor Wes Moore have issued the following statement:
“America’s election system is a model for the world and the bedrock of our 250-year-old democracy.
“The Constitution grants states the authority to administer elections, and governors take our Constitutional duty extremely seriously. State officials work diligently to ensure the integrity of every stage of the election process – from voter registration to vote tabulation.
“Voting is one of our most sacred rights and duties as Americans, and governors from both parties are dedicated to ensuring every eligible vote is cast securely and counted accurately.”
