Eric Holcomb was sworn in as the governor of Indiana on January 11, 2017.

Holcomb was the 51st lieutenant governor of Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a trusted advisor to Gov. Mitch Daniels and Sen. Dan Coats and was state chairman of the Indiana Republican Party.

Holcomb also has experience at the district and local levels, managing successful campaigns for U.S. Rep. John Hostettler and serving as his district director, as well as a mayoral race in Vincennes, where he lived at the time. He and his wife, Janet, live with their dog, Henry, on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
