Eloy S. Inos was appointed governor on February 20, 2013, following his predecessor’s resignation. He was re-elected in 2014.
Prior to ascending to the governor’s office, Inos was serving as lt. governor by appointment from May 2009 till January 2010 and by election from January 2010 to February 2013. Inos brings with him a wealth of experience in finance and accounting. He previously served as the secretary of finance for the CNMI. In prior administrations, he served as director of finance for 11 years. From 1994 to 2006, Inos joined the private sector taking on key leadership roles as president and vice president of companies specializing in insurance, travel, international trade and business development.
Inos earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting and management and a minor in public administration from the University of Guam in 1981.
