Jennie Gordon was raised in a military family and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and later moved with her family to Buffalo, New York. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of Wyoming and worked as a laboratory medical technologist at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. She later served as a field service representative for Abbott Laboratories.
In 2012, Mrs. Gordon began managing the Merlin Ranch, which has garnered national recognition for its environmental stewardship and conservation achievements as well as promotion of Wyoming beef worldwide. She serves on the board of the Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust and is a current member of the Wyoming Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) class. She and her husband, Governor Mark Gordon, have four grown children: Aaron, Spencer, Bea and Anne.
