The state of Mississippi, in partnership with the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center), hosted a one-day retreat on policies and strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy expenditures in state buildings. The objectives of the retreat were to:
- Examine the economic value of public sector energy efficiency;
- Explore relevant policy and program models; and
- Discuss strategies to expanding Mississippi’s benchmarking and analytics capabilities.
