Colorado Springs – Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. attended the National Governors Association (NGA) Summer Meeting in Colorado Springs, joining governors for a fireside chat about Make America Healthy Again priorities. Governors engaged in a wide-ranging discussion with Secretary Kennedy on HHS priorities, federal-state partnership, nutrition, preventive care, rural health care and more.
“There are opportunities for all of us to live up to our obligation to our children and really give them a chance in life, and change not only their physical health, but also their mental health,” said Secretary Kennedy.
Earlier this week, members of NGA’s Public Health and Disaster Response Task Force sent a letter to congressional leadership outlining bipartisan priorities for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) appropriations bills.
Full video of the conversation will be available on NGA’s website.
