WASHINGTON—The National Governors Association (NGA) today announced that Vice President of the United States Mike Pence will address more than 30 of the nation’s governors at the NGA Summer Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island, later this week.
“As the host governor of this year’s NGA Summer Meeting, I’m pleased that Vice President Pence will attend our conference and visit Rhode Island to meet with me and my colleagues to discuss the important relationship between states and the federal government,” said Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo.
Vice President Pence will deliver an opening keynote address Friday, July 14, followed by a keynote speech by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Governors and premiers from the United States, Canada and Mexico, including Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, will speak shortly after about international collaboration, workforce development, agriculture and manufacturing.
