Program Director, Public Health
Brittney Roy serves as program director for public health in the NGA Center for Best Practices. In her role, she manages the public health portfolio, including supporting governors in their efforts to lead the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also leads projects related to addressing the spread of infectious diseases, advancing chronic disease prevention efforts, supporting health equity, reducing health disparities for at-risk populations, among other population and public health issues.
Before joining NGA, Roy served as the senior health policy advisor for Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. In this role, she managed matters related to public health, welfare, and labor.
Roy holds a master’s degree in public administration and non-profit management from the University of Arkansas -Little Rock and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and gender studies.
Brittney originally hails from Little Rock, Arkansas.
