Briefing on Judicial Security Policy and Best Practices

On April 20th, the National Governors Association (NGA) hosted its monthly briefing for Governor’s legal counsel which discussed policies and best practices for improving judicial security.  

The briefing featured a presentation by Judge Kim Mueller, David F. Levi Professor of the Practice of Law at Duke Law School and Director of the Bolch Judicial Institute. The call included reflections on ongoing security concerns and challenges facing state judiciary staff and officials.  Participants engaged in an open discussion of recent policy developments and best practices to mitigate potential incidents.
