Governors React to Mass Shooting in Nevada

WASHINGTON—The National Governors Association today released a statement following the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, yesterday that killed at least 50 people and left more than 400 injured:

“The nation’s governors are stricken and saddened by what has now become one of the deadliest shootings in modern American history.

Our deepest sympathies go to the victims and families of those affected by this heinous act of violence. We are also thankful for the first responders who risked their lives in the face of this tragedy.”
