Economic Opportunity Division
John Guerriero serves as a policy analyst in the Economic Opportunity Division of the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, where he supports governors’ staff and state policymakers in strengthening their workforce development systems. His areas of focus include scaling apprenticeship programs, work-based learning policy and occupational licensing.
John earned his Master’s in Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. While completing his degree, he worked in workforce development for World Business Chicago’s 1,000 Jobs campaign. John also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Michigan. John originally hails from Michigan.
