Matt Rogotzke is an Energy, Infrastructure & Environment senior policy analyst with NGA’s Center for Best Practices. At NGA, Matt supports state decision-makers in developing sustainable strategies toward their longterm energy goals. To accomplish this, he’s focusing on the benefits of energy efficiency, grid modernization and transportation electrification.

Prior to NGA, Matt interned for Congressman Rick Nolan from Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District. Before working in D.C., Matt served as an AmeriCorps Member in the Minnesota GreenCorps program. He was placed at the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe for two years and worked on energy efficiency, community solar and local food projects.

While Matt has worked at NGA, he finished his master’s degree in public policy and management with the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. His undergraduate degree is a bachelor’s in accounting and finance from Saint John’s University in Minnesota.
