Water Energy Nexus in State Retreat for the state of Tennessee

The National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) hosted the first a Water Energy Nexus in State Retreat for the state of Tennessee to explore improving integration of water and energy policy to achieve efficiencies, conserve limited resources, and reduce customers’ costs in both urban and rural communities. Participants will specifically discuss the future of the Water and Wastewater Energy Efficiency Partnership and the Wastewater Nutrient Optimization Programs.  The next Water Energy Nexus meeting will be with the state of Minnesota in August.
