Policy Academy to Strengthen SNAP Employment & Training Delivery

In 2024 the NGA Center for Best Practices (NGA Center), in partnership with Third Sector Capital Partners (Third Sector), launched a Policy Academy to Strengthen SNAP Employment & Training (SNAP E&T) Delivery. From July 2024 to February 2025, the NGA Center and Third Sector supported state teams from Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, and North Carolina as they worked to enact policy and programmatic changes to strengthen SNAP E&T delivery and improve participants’ economic wellbeing.


2025-2026 Cohort

The NGA Center invites states and territories to apply for the 2025-2026 Policy Academy to Strengthen SNAP Employment & Training Delivery which will run from July 2025 – February 2026. Applications are due to Jess Kirchner at jkirchner@nga.org by COB on  Friday, June 6th , 2025.

Throughout the Policy Academy, the NGA Center, in partnership with Third Sector Capital Partners, will deliver customized technical assistance to states & territories, offer regular cohort-wide programming, and facilitate peer-to-peer engagement among state/territory teams and subject matter experts.

Over the course of the eight-month project period, states in the Policy Academy will: 

  • Customized technical assistance to states & territories 
  • Regular cohort-wide programming 
  • Peer-to-peer engagement opportunities with state/territory teams and subject matter experts, including an in-person convening.
