WELCOME TO THE 2020 NGA WINTER MEETING!

As chair of the National Governors Association (NGA), I look forward to joining my fellow governors in Washington for the premier annual gathering of state leaders in our nation’s capital. Beginning Friday evening, Feb. 7 and running through Monday, Feb. 10, at the Marriott Marquis and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the NGA Winter Meeting offers governors a unique forum to meet with federal leaders, discuss the most important issues in their states, and to share innovative solutions in areas such as workforce, education, health care, energy, finances and cybersecurity.

My NGA Chair’s Initiative, “Infrastructure: Foundation for Success” draws from governors’ leadership in providing modern, secure and efficient infrastructure to support their states’ economies and quality of life for their residents.

Throughout the weekend, governors will meet to discuss the vital issues in their states and to collaborate with partners from the federal government and the private sector. Those meetings will include open plenary sessions and committee meetings, as well as closed-door private meetings for governors only.

NGA Vice Chair New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and I look forward to spending time with you in February.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan
